Questions

Frequently Asked

Epoxy or polished concrete: which is right for me?

Epoxy adds a colored, sealed coating on top of the slab. It's great for garages and basements and hides stains and imperfections. Polished concrete refines the slab itself into a hard, glossy surface with nothing to peel, and it's popular for commercial spaces and modern interiors. We'll recommend the best fit after seeing your floor.

Can I get an estimate without an in-person visit?

Yes. Text a few photos of the space and its approximate size to (847) 957-7675, or use the form below. We'll follow up with options and pricing, and schedule a visit if we need to measure.

Why is grinding necessary? Can't you just paint over the concrete?

Coatings fail when they can't bond to the concrete. Diamond grinding removes the weak top layer, old sealers and contaminants, and opens the surface so epoxy locks in. Skipping it is the main reason DIY and "roll-on" floors peel.

How long until I can use the floor?

It depends on the system and the temperature. Typically you can walk on it within about a day, and vehicles can return after a few more days. We'll give you exact timing for your project.

Do you work on commercial projects?

Yes. We coat and polish warehouses, shops, showrooms and other commercial spaces, as well as homes and garages.
